“Dark Chocolate” Russian Cocktail & Mocktail
If you’ve ever heard of a White Russian I am switching it up and making this one Dark Chocolate … pretty much a grown-up chocolate milk and a regular chocolate milk for those of you who can’t or don’t drink! Insert myself —> perfect for those of you who are pregnant ladies/mommas like myself and craving something sweet. This was the easiest drink to make and perfect for the Valentines holiday. Especially with my added décor which doubles as a sweet treat. Valentines Day Craft For Kids
Easy. Cheap. Pre-made. Dollar Tree Craft. I’ve teamed up with a few other Mommas for a Valentines Day Craft Blog this month. Normally I would pull out all the DIY ideas and crafts but with the cold weather has come a little bit of lack of motivation and baby number 2 on the way has made the main focus on getting the house together. Taking care of my daughter however is still a top priority … I know there are plenty of other mommas/caregivers/babysitters/etc out there who just may not have the energy to put into a whole craft with your child or children. So to save you time and…

5 Easy Holiday Traditions You Can Add To Your List
Who doesn’t love a good holiday tradition? It’s a mix of all things holiday with the nostalgia of traditions you may have grown up with. These traditions are some of the things that I did growing up as a kid, newer ones that I’ve begun with my husband, and even newer ones I plan to continue with our growing family. 1. Annual Family Cookie Bake Whether this is a whole family affair, something you do by yourself, or something you do with your kids … baking cookies is a sure way to get in the holiday spirit. Whip up a classic gingerbread cookie or get creative and try something new.…

Life has been a Rollercoaster
But I’m Back! I promise! Ever just get lost in so many things? Can’t figure out which way is up? Try to do too much at once? I am guilty – beyond guilty of this. My husband returned from his 7 month deployment and I think I went into ‘panic mode.’ I thought, “Yay, he’s home! He can watch the baby. I’ll have all of this free time to do stuff.” I jumped into the health & wellness coach realm. It was great and so much fun at first. And then it wasn’t. I’ll forever be grateful that I tried it because the only regrets you have in life are…

Spring Dessert: “Half-Naked” Cupcake
I call these my “half-naked” cupcakes. This is my take on a naked dessert but the icing is the best part so I had to at least put some on there right?! Hence Half-Naked! {Obviously there are some that snuck in fully clothed!} I feel like these cupcakes scream “Winter is ending, and Spring is coming!” Still some rough/raw ground but the grass and flowers are finally starting to peak through! I did not do any crazy flavors for the actual cupcake – just a plain chocolate cupcake. Because … well, c.h.o.c.o.l.a.t.e. Feel free to do vanilla or whatever your heart desires. For the icing I continued with the spring…

Taking A Step Back
Re-vamp. Re-evaluate. Re-imagine. I have been stuck in a sort of rut the past few weeks – emotionally & mentally. One of the things causing some stress in my life unfortunately has been my blog. Has anyone ever watched Marie Kondo – the queen of organization?? To help us rid of unnecessary things she says to hold up the item and ask yourself, “Does it spark joy?” If the answer is no – get rid of it! Recently I’ve found that this concept can pretty much work with anything in your life. I asked myself the other day (about my blog), “Does it spark joy?” My answer, unfortunately, was, “No.”…

Home Tips & Tricks
New Year. New Me. Who dis?? – Anyone else feel like a boss setting new goals for the upcoming year and then fall short on following through with them? G.U.I.L.T.Y. I am making a conscious effort this year to be more clean, more organized, more intentional. I wouldn’t call myself a ‘messy person’ but my husband is a total Type A / OCD / military man … the ultimate trifecta [haha – something I have come to love]! This may sound crazy but I feel like in the past few months, ever since having our first child, I have begun to make the switch to Type A. You would think…

Toddler Valentine’s Activity
Now when I say Easy & Affordable, it really is an understatement. This is easier than easy and cheaper than cheap. What is better than that, am I right?! I honestly contemplated even posting this activity/craft idea. I never want to post random and meaningless stuff just to add posts to my page. The more I thought about it though the more I realized that there could be many mothers/parents/caregivers that could use even the most minimalist inspiration. Sometimes it can be hard to think of even the most simple craft idea when most of your brain power is focused on what to do for the day, what to feed…

DIY Ornament
Easy. Affordable. And Absolutely Adorable! I made this Christmas ornament last year, after we brought our daughter home from the hospital. Not only is this a great ornament for your tree but it is also a great way to preserve those little trinkets you adore after having your baby. Most times they just end up in a box and stored away. So what better than to find a way to display them and put them to “use”. It is also so fun to unbox your Christmas ornaments when it is time to decorate the tree and be flooded with memories and emotions of that special day. What you’ll need: Plastic…

Orange Cranberry Shortbread Cookie
Looking for an easy, simple yet satisfying cookie to bake for your family and friends [and of course yourself] for the holiday? Look no further, this.is.your.cookie! My family and I have a long-standing tradition of a Holiday/Christmas cookie bake every year. A few weeks before Christmas I get together with my Mom and Aunts and we bake tons and TONS of cookies! I started baking this cookie about three years ago and now it is my cookie of choice every year. This cookie is scrumptious but dangerous. Mainly because it pairs perfect with any of the three meals of your day. Breakfast? This cookie pairs great with a cup of…
